This painting is a 24x18 watercolor on panel from a series of petroglyph style of work I do. The time lapse video sequence is just 4 minutes and uses 4400 still photographs to complete it. I really enjoy watching time lapse. some of the work online is amazing and highly creative. As a an artist I thought it would be a good fit for me, to use my camera and capture painting sessions and convert to a time lapse video.

These videos are shot at one frame per second....and while most of these smaller and faster watercolor paintings take around an hour to complete...the video only takes minutes to watch. I plan to periodically create more time lapse in my studio while painting, i enjoy the process and the ability to share photographically the creative yet spontaneous nature of watercolor painting!
